Terms of Use
Last updated: 15 July 2026
These terms govern your use of TalkWidget ("the service"), an AI chat widget and AI-visibility service operated from Australia. By creating an account or embedding the widget you agree to these terms.
The service
TalkWidget provides an embeddable AI chat widget that answers website visitors' questions from content you configure, captures leads, and publishes your business information in machine-readable formats (schema.org structured data and llms.txt). We may add, change or remove features over time.
Your account and content
- You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the content you configure (FAQ, business profile, links) and for keeping your account credentials secure.
- You must only add domains you own or are authorised to manage, and only embed the widget on those sites.
- You retain ownership of your content. You grant us the licence needed to operate the service — including displaying your content to your visitors, generating AI responses from it, and publishing it in the machine-readable formats you enable.
- If visitors' personal information is collected through your widget (such as leads), you are the controller of that data and responsible for your own privacy obligations to your visitors.
Acceptable use
You may not use the service for anything unlawful, deceptive or harmful; attempt to bypass usage limits or security controls; probe or disrupt the service; or configure content that infringes others' rights. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms.
Plans and billing
- Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel any time; access continues to the end of the paid period.
- Each plan includes monthly usage limits (queries and agents). When limits are reached the widget may stop responding until the next cycle or an upgrade.
- The free plan is provided as-is and may be adjusted over time. We may change plan pricing with reasonable advance notice.
AI-generated responses
Widget replies are generated by AI from the content you provide. While designed to stay within your configured knowledge, AI output can be imperfect. You are responsible for reviewing the content you configure, and the service should not be relied on for legal, medical, financial or other professional advice.
Availability and liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of uninterrupted availability. To the maximum extent permitted by law (including the Australian Consumer Law, whose statutory guarantees are not excluded), our total liability arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss such as lost profits or lost data.
Termination
You can delete your account at any time from the dashboard, which permanently removes your data. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, with notice where reasonable.
General
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. We may update these terms from time to time; material changes will be notified via the service or email, and continued use constitutes acceptance.
